This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
β’ Lead the bring-up of low-level Qualcomm Android BSP, modifications to device trees, and integration of pSIM frameworks for next-generation camera platforms.
β’ Design and tailor low-level bootloaders, encompassing XBL and ABL implementations, to enhance device boot security and efficiency.
β’ Create and troubleshoot firmware for Application Digital Signal Processors, ensuring ADSP architecture meets system processing requirements.
β’ Collaborate with electrical engineering and validation teams to establish low-level hardware integration, develop custom debug hooks, and enhance automated testing.
β’ Examine system tombstones, kernel logs, and performance traces to resolve hardware-software latency issues and memory bottlenecks.
β’ Expertise in C development and Linux kernel internals, covering memory management, power management, IRQ handling, and subsystem architecture.
β’ Practical experience with Qualcomm chipset bring-up, device trees, and Android system architecture, including HAL and the Linux kernel.
β’ Skilled in bootloader development and customization, with knowledge of XBL and ABL concepts.
β’ Background in developing or debugging firmware for Application Digital Signal Processors within embedded hardware environments.
β’ A bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field is necessary.
β’ Familiarity with Linux kernel drivers for SPI/I2C/UART, along with Rust/C++ or Qualcomm proprietary subsystems, is advantageous.
