Senior Java/Kafka Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Become a part of Talan’s team as a Senior Developer.

• Contribute to a high-performing backend project in the banking sector.

• Engage in a mandatory rotating on-call shift that operates 24/7 from Monday to Sunday.

• Be available and reachable outside of regular working hours to log in and address critical system incidents as they occur.

• Participate in an on-call rotation lasting approximately one week every 3 to 4 months, based on the team’s internal schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in a similar position.

• Proficiency in J2EE, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka is essential.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture is required.

• Experience with Spring Boot is necessary.

• Background in Functional Programming is expected.

• Proficient in Java Version 8 and higher.

• Experience with JPA is required.

• Knowledge of testing methodologies such as TDD or BDD is necessary.

• Understanding of software design and architecture patterns is essential.

• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc., is required.

• Familiarity or practical experience with Agile Methodologies (Scrum) is preferred.

• Proficiency in English: Minimum B2 level is required.

• Basic understanding of API design and specifications (OpenAPI 3 / OAS3) is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of Reactive Programming is highly regarded.
