Senior Java/Kafka Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Paraguay.

📋 Description

• Become a key member of Talan’s team as a Senior Developer.

• Engage in a high-performing backend project within the banking sector.

• Participate in a required rotating on-call schedule from Monday to Sunday.

• Be available outside of standard working hours and log in to address critical system incidents when necessary.

• Join an approximate one-week on-call rotation every 3 to 4 months, according to the team calendar.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in a comparable role.

• Proficient in J2EE, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka is essential.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture, Spring Boot, Functional Programming, Java (Version 8 and above), JPA, and Testing methodologies (TDD or BDD).

• Knowledge of software design and architecture patterns.

• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.

• Understanding or practical experience with Agile Methodologies (Scrum).

• Proficiency in the English language: Minimum B2 level.

• Basic understanding of API design and specification (OpenAPI 3 / OAS3) is preferred.

• Fundamental knowledge of Reactive Programming is highly regarded.

• Required participation in a rotating 24/7 on-call shift schedule.
