Senior Java/Kafka Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Become a vital member of a high-achieving backend project in the banking sector.

• Design and enhance backend solutions utilizing Java, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, and associated technologies.

• Engage in a mandatory rotating on-call shift system, available 24/7 from Monday to Sunday.

• Be reachable and ready to address critical system incidents outside of regular working hours.

• Participate in one week of on-call duty approximately every 3 to 4 months.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in a comparable role.

• Strong expertise in J2EE, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka is essential.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture.

• Proficiency in Spring Boot.

• Understanding of functional programming concepts.

• Experience with Java Version 8 and above.

• Knowledge of JPA.

• Experience with testing methodologies such as TDD or BDD.

• Understanding of software design and architecture patterns.

• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum) is preferred.

• Proficiency in the English language at a minimum B2 level.

• Basic understanding of API design and specification (OpenAPI 3 / OAS3) is desirable.

• Basic knowledge of Reactive Programming is highly valued.
