Senior Java/Kafka Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Become a part of Talan's team and play a key role in a high-performing backend project within the banking sector.

• Engage in a rotating on-call shift schedule that spans from Monday to Sunday.

• Be available and logged in to address critical system incidents that occur during your on-call periods.

• Focus on backend development utilizing Java, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, microservices, databases, and software architecture.

• Contribute to projects for significant global clients while collaborating with a diverse and international team.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in a comparable position.

• Proficiency in J2EE, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka is essential.

• Experience with microservices architecture is required.

• Familiarity with Spring Boot is necessary.

• Understanding of functional programming is expected.

• Java version 8 or higher is required.

• Experience with JPA is important.

• Knowledge of testing methodologies such as TDD or BDD is beneficial.

• Understanding of software design and architectural patterns is necessary.

• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc., is required.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum) is preferred.

• Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level is required.

• Basic understanding of API design and specification (OpenAPI 3 / OAS3) is desirable.

• Basic knowledge of Reactive Programming is highly valued.

• A willingness and availability to participate in a mandatory rotating 24/7 on-call schedule, roughly one full week every 3 to 4 months.
