Senior Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain Java (17+) services utilizing Spring Boot within a microservices framework.

• Create and utilize RESTful APIs; engage with event/streaming and messaging technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ/JMS).

• Produce clean, thoroughly tested code — employing TDD/BDD, unit, and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito).

• Containerize and deploy services (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift) via CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI).

• Integrate with relational and/or NoSQL databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL; familiarity with DB2 is advantageous given the environment).

• Participate in solution design, code evaluations, and address non-functional aspects — performance, resilience, security, and observability.

• Work collaboratively with architects, BAs, testers, and product owners; assist with SIT/UAT and production rollouts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of practical experience in Java engineering.

• Strong expertise in the current Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem (Spring MVC, Data, Security).

• Demonstrated experience in microservices design and deployment in a production environment.

• Proficient in REST API design; familiar with messaging/streaming (Kafka or similar technologies).

• Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes/OpenShift; experience with Git.

• A strong foundation in automated testing practices (JUnit, Mockito; ideally with contract/integration testing).

• Comfortable operating within an Agile/Scrum delivery framework.
