Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop software components in line with design specifications.

• Conduct system integration and testing activities.

• Identify and resolve issues effectively.

• Execute unit testing for software components.

• Engage in estimating project efforts and timelines for delivery.

• Work collaboratively with team members and engage with project stakeholders.

• Offer technical insights for product roadmaps.

• Take part in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization.

• Enhance and support CI/CD processes.

• Design and maintain tailored software solutions for a major European public-sector technology services client.

• Contribute to a tax administration system encompassing tax declarations, calculations, assessments, and integration with various external systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Java development.

• Extensive experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS).

• Familiarity with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ).

• Strong grasp of testing principles.

• Ability to communicate fluently in English.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with stakeholders and distributed teams.

• Experience in Angular front-end development is a plus.

• Proficiency in German or Swiss German is a plus.
