Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop software components in accordance with design specifications

• Conduct system integration and testing

• Identify and resolve issues

• Execute unit testing for software components

• Engage in estimating project efforts and timelines for delivery

• Collaborate actively with team members and liaise with project stakeholders

• Offer technical insights for product roadmaps

• Take part in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization

• Assist in enhancing CI/CD processes

• Design and maintain tailored software solutions for a significant public-sector technology client in Europe

• Contribute to a tax administration system that encompasses tax declaration processing, tax calculations, assessments, and integration with external systems

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Java development

• Extensive experience with the Spring Framework and Quarkus

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes

• Proficiency with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or other RDBMS

• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging systems, including Kafka and ActiveMQ

• Solid understanding of testing principles

• Ability to communicate fluently in English

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams

• Experience in Angular front-end development (preferred)

• German or Swiss German language proficiency (preferred)

• Proficient in Java, Spring, Quarkus, Angular, PostgreSQL, RESTEasy, Hibernate/Panache, Kafka, Microservices, Maven, Flyway, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jira, ArgoCD, Grafana
