Senior Java Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and enhance essential backend systems

• Lead the resolution of intricate distributed data issues

• Integrate and utilize AI coding assistants in everyday tasks

• Engage in architectural discussions and participate in code reviews

• Create and uphold resilient data pipelines and batch processing tasks

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software engineering

• Strong experience in production engineering with Java

• Proven ability to navigate and contribute to Kotlin codebases

• Direct experience in deploying services with Spring Boot

• Experience with managing large-scale data processing using Spring Batch (or similar batch frameworks)

• Strong understanding of REST API design along with hands-on experience in GraphQL APIs

• Proven ability to utilize AI coding assistants in practical settings

• Solid grasp of relational/NoSQL databases and asynchronous messaging systems (e.g., Kafka)

• Experience working in Agile teams and in fully remote environments

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
