This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Supervise the planning, execution, and successful completion of intricate, high-impact IT projects and initiatives throughout the organization.
• Coordinate, manage, and deliver IT project and program tasks, which include project charters, plans, schedules, resource risk management, and status updates.
• Oversee scope, timeline, budget, communication, risk, quality, and resources across various IT projects or programs.
• Direct the entire project management process through research, analysis, stakeholder feedback, strategic recommendations, and execution.
• Manage deliverables, project resources, and both internal and external deadlines.
• Supervise cross-functional teams, internal personnel, and external vendors.
• Facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, take notes, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
• Relay work status and deliverables to project stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a liaison between Project Management and various departments and divisions within the Consortium.
• Develop and present strategic concepts that bolster service and business development.
• Manage stakeholder expectations across a widely dispersed service area.
• Travel frequently as necessary and establish mechanisms for information dissemination and customer feedback.
• May take on supervisory responsibilities as needed.
• Master’s degree in Project Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline, OR a Bachelor’s degree supplemented with additional experience.
• Over 8 years of demonstrated progressive and relevant experience in IT project development and management, including execution and closure; program planning, development, and implementation; strategic communications; and budget monitoring.
• Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree must possess an additional two years of experience.
• Significant experience in health care IT is strongly preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is mandatory; if not currently certified, it must be obtained within 24 months of hire.
• Familiarity with Project Management Institute (PMI) framework.
• Understanding of project management principles, practices, and methodologies.
• Knowledge of SDLC, ITIL, and change management principles.
• Proficiency in needs assessment and program planning.
• Awareness of healthcare delivery systems.
• Knowledge of budget tracking and reporting principles and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership, presentation, time management, organizational, strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project, and/or Smartsheet.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Capacity to lead internal customers and comprehend customer goals, needs, and pertinent best practices.
• Ability to build trust, rapport, and credibility with team members and internal customers.
