This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Deliver high-quality business analysis as part of the Cornell Enterprise Modernization Initiative (CEMI).
• Ensure that the new solution addresses the specific needs of diverse organizations while promoting consistency, operational excellence, and enhancing user experience across Cornell’s advancement ecosystem.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess intricate business processes, guide the creation of improved future-state workflows, define and validate system requirements, and align solution design with university-wide strategic objectives.
• Lead the development of requirements, facilitate process mapping and cross-functional workshops, conduct advanced data analysis, and contribute to system design and integration planning.
• Generate high-quality documentation, oversee testing strategies and execution efforts, and assist in change management and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure that technology solutions fulfill complex operational, technical, and strategic requirements across various platforms, units, and initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–7+ years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or IT project delivery, preferably within a complex, multi-unit environment.
• Proven expertise in leading requirements gathering, facilitating workshops, and translating intricate business needs into clear, actionable system requirements.
• Established experience in business process analysis and redesign, including mapping current-state and future-state processes for large, cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong capabilities in data analysis, data validation, and supporting data-driven decision-making for system implementations.
• Documented success in contributing to or leading components of enterprise system implementations (ERP, CRM, advancement systems, or similarly complex platforms).
• Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels—executive leadership, end users, functional subject-matter experts, and technical teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex information clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Experience supporting or leading testing activities, including test planning, test case development, execution, and defect triage.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving project environment.
• Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and function as a trusted partner and advisor on high-visibility initiatives.
