Senior IoT Software Engineer, Java, CRM Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Design and create high-performance, fault-tolerant Java Spring Boot microservices to handle telemetry data from millions of IoT devices.

• Lead the integration efforts between the IoT management platform and Salesforce or other CRM/OSS platforms.

• Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs to expose IoT usage, status, and location information.

• Connect with telecom operator networks for SIM provisioning, SMS commands, and connectivity status updates.

• Implement Kafka/RabbitMQ message queuing solutions for high-throughput device data management.

• Ensure low-latency processing for critical IoT alerts and commands.

• Collaborate with product managers, network engineers, and frontend developers to deliver comprehensive end-to-end solutions.

• Troubleshoot integration challenges involving both internal systems and third-party operator platforms.

• Engage in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning sessions.

• Document technical designs, integration processes, and deployment methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Core Java, particularly with concurrency and JVM performance optimization.

• Extensive knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a preference for Azure in telecom contexts.

• Proficient in integrating cloud applications with Salesforce using REST APIs, SOAP, or Salesforce Connect.

• Strong background in SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as stream processing tools like Kafka.

• Familiarity with IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, and LwM2M.

• Experience in integrating telecom operator APIs for SIM lifecycle management, including AT commands, SMPP, or vendor-specific APIs.

• Knowledge of telecom OSS/BSS systems like Order Management, Billing, or Inventory.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

• Strong problem-solving abilities related to distributed systems and network latency issues.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration is a plus.

• Understanding of 5G network slicing concepts is a plus.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.

• Ability to work within CET ± 2 hours.
