Senior iOS Engineer, Swift, SwiftUI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the iOS application, focusing on architecture, performance, releases, and the technical roadmap.

• Work in close partnership with engineering and product leadership to enhance onboarding, engagement, and retention.

• Create refined native experiences featuring seamless animations, responsive interactions, and adherence to platform-specific conventions.

• Provide support and mentorship to the two engineers currently involved in mobile development.

• Share expertise and enhance engineering practices.

• Deliver features, analyze user journeys, evaluate results, and iterate through A/B testing.

• Manage App Store deployment, establish release cadence, oversee versioning, optimize the store presence, and monitor crashes.

• Collaborate directly with the founders to influence the product's direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in native iOS development.

• Strong expertise in Swift programming language.

• Hands-on experience with SwiftUI and UIKit frameworks.

• Demonstrated experience in building and shipping consumer-quality iOS applications.

• Familiarity with Combine, push notifications, and the App Store deployment process.

• Proficient in Xcode, XCTest, TestFlight, and App Store Connect.

• Solid understanding of common iOS architecture and state management methodologies.

• Experience in debugging applications, enhancing performance, and monitoring crashes.

• Proven track record of providing technical guidance and mentoring fellow engineers.

• Self-motivated, pragmatic, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.

• Capability to identify issues, propose solutions, and take initiative without waiting for fully defined requirements.

• Strong communication skills and confidence in collaborating directly with product and engineering stakeholders.

• Proficiency in English at a C1 level or higher, necessary for daily communication and teamwork.

• Must be based in Europe.
