iOS Developer – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift, with SwiftUI and UIKit as appropriate.

• Create and integrate AI-driven features utilizing AWS Bedrock services and explore on-device capabilities such as Core ML and Apple's Foundation Models framework.

• Integrate serverless backend APIs and design functionalities that prioritize offline access, including caching and synchronization.

• Take ownership of and enhance the release pipeline, CI/CD processes, automated builds, TestFlight, and App Store submissions.

• Develop unit and UI tests utilizing XCTest and Swift Testing.

• Ensure the reliability, performance, and battery efficiency of applications.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, designers, Android engineers, backend developers, Support teams, and Product.

• Deliver features that provide valuable insights to players and coaches across various platforms.

• Engage in Agile planning, reviews, and continuous delivery methodologies.

• Investigate and troubleshoot support and technical issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and deploying native iOS applications using Swift.

• Proficient in SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency (async/await), and contemporary application architecture.

• Strong comprehension of the iOS platform, including app lifecycle, background execution, permissions, privacy regulations, and App Store review criteria.

• Familiarity with consuming REST APIs and collaborating with backend engineers.

• Experience with AWS (S3, serverless, Bedrock) is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Android or Kotlin is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Experience utilizing AI tools within development workflows.

• Active interest in learning about emerging AI models and tools.

• Genuine enthusiasm for sports.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across product, design, and engineering teams.

• Ability to analyze problems, articulate thought processes, investigate issues, and debug with limited information.

• Capability to differentiate between genuine support/technical issues and user errors.

• Evidence of independent development through personal or side projects, App Store applications, open-source contributions, or similar endeavors.

• Fluency in Hungarian is essential.

• Immediate availability is required.
