Senior iOS Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the mobile application, overseeing architecture, performance, release processes, and the overall roadmap.

• Guide and mentor the two current mobile engineers.

• Establish technical direction and elevate the standards for mobile engineering quality.

• Collaborate on engineering strategy and product direction focused on growth, onboarding, and user retention.

• Enhance the native experience with smooth animations, responsive interactions, and adherence to platform-specific conventions.

• Implement features within a PLG/A/B testing framework, analyze results, assess impact, and iterate promptly.

• Manage app store presence and release scheduling, which includes version control, store optimization, and monitoring of crashes and performance.

• Potentially assist in expanding a dedicated mobile team as the application gains prominence within the business.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in native iOS development.

• Expertise in Swift programming language.

• Demonstrated experience in building and launching consumer-grade iOS applications.

• Familiarity with SwiftUI and UIKit frameworks.

• Knowledge of iOS frameworks and tools, including Combine and push notifications.

• Experience with deploying applications to the App Store.

• Proficiency with Xcode, XCTest, TestFlight, and App Store Connect.

• Understanding of common iOS architecture and state management patterns.

• Skills in debugging, performance optimization, and crash monitoring.

• Experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.

• Knowledge of Objective-C is an advantage.

• Experience in Android development using Kotlin is also a plus.
