This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Analyze financial models, valuation assessments, pitch books, confidential information memoranda, deal memos, and board documents.
• Evaluate the work for technical precision, completeness, presentation quality, and adherence to professional banking standards.
• Detect modeling inaccuracies, unsupported assumptions, formatting problems, and flaws in transaction reasoning.
• Ascertain whether materials comply with client-ready or committee-level expectations.
• Develop grading criteria tailored to investment banking deliverables.
• Establish measurable benchmarks for financial accuracy, valuation analysis, analytical thoroughness, structure, and presentation quality.
• Enhance evaluation rubrics based on feedback from reviewers and calibration results.
• Assess three-statement models, DCF analyses, LBO models, comparable-company analyses, and precedent transactions.
• Review merger models, accretion and dilution computations, transaction assumptions, and financing frameworks.
• Evaluate valuation findings for consistency, commercial insight, and supporting documentation.
• Identify calculation mistakes, sensitivity challenges, and discrepancies across financial outputs.
• Score both AI-generated and human-created work samples using structured criteria.
• Offer comprehensive written justifications for each score assigned.
• Maintain consistent, evidence-based judgments across various tasks and deliverables.
• Integrate senior reviewer feedback and modify evaluation methods effectively.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional investment banking experience at the associate level or higher.
• Background at a prominent global investment bank, elite advisory boutique, or similar transaction-oriented setting.
• Professional experience in M&A, industry coverage, leveraged finance, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, or related sectors.
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, transaction analysis, and deal-process documents.
• Thorough understanding of accuracy, formatting, and presentation standards for high-quality banking work.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to articulate analytical decisions clearly.
• Meticulous attention to detail and comfort with review and calibration processes.
• Experience in buy-side, sell-side, financing, restructuring, or strategic advisory transactions is advantageous.
• Strong skills in Excel-based financial modeling and PowerPoint-based banking materials are desirable.
• Familiarity with reviewing work produced by analysts, associates, or transaction teams is beneficial.
• Acquaintance with investment committee, board, fairness, or senior-management documents is preferred.
• Prior experience with AI evaluation, technical benchmarking, structured reviews, or human-data projects is a plus.
• Experience in developing grading rubrics, training resources, or quality-assurance frameworks is desirable.
• A degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, mathematics, or a related analytical discipline is helpful but not mandatory.
• An MBA, CFA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent financial training may be advantageous.
• Independent contractor status is required.
• Work must not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
