This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Serve as a senior HR authority for intricate employee relations (ER) issues within your designated countries, possessing specialized knowledge across various APAC nations (India, Singapore, Japan, the Philippines, Australia).
• Offer practical, solution-oriented guidance on high-stakes and sensitive situations, including performance management, misconduct, investigations, and terminations.
• Confidently navigate complex local legal frameworks, ensuring compliance while aligning with business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and Oyster clients to provide clear, actionable advice on intricate personnel matters promptly and with a commercial focus.
• Compose country-specific content on a diverse array of HR topics following our team’s formatting guidelines.
• Utilize AI and automation tools to enhance the creation, updating, and scaling of country-specific HR documentation, ensuring swift and accurate knowledge dissemination.
• Respond to inquiries (in the form of tickets) regarding HR matters that cannot be resolved by our initial support teams.
• Equip internal Oyster teams with training (or alternative methods of knowledge enhancement) on HR topics as required.
• Seek opportunities to proactively enhance country-specific HR information.
• Participate in customer calls when questions arise concerning country-specific HR information.
• Collaborate with other teams (e.g., Customer Support, Sales, Product, Legal) to address country-specific challenges using your HR expertise.
• Continuously assess and improve workflows and operational methods to minimize response times and elevate service quality.
• Responsibly leverage AI to maximize individual productivity, sharing best practices with the broader People Services team.
• Analyze recurring ticket trends and inquiries to identify systemic challenges, proactively developing preventative resources for internal teams.
• Lead People Services and cross-functional initiatives as we strive towards our mission of enabling companies to hire anyone, anywhere!
• Extensive employee relations expertise across multiple countries, with practical experience managing complex and high-risk scenarios (e.g., investigations, PIPs, terminations).
• Over 6 years of ER & HR generalist experience, demonstrating a strong record of supporting both internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Cross-country HR experience with a strong global perspective (e.g., APAC, EMEA, AMER, LATAM).
• Culturally sensitive, with a nuanced understanding of local HR practices, norms, and expectations in the regions you’ve supported.
• An outstanding communicator, capable of translating complex employment issues into practical, accessible advice (both in writing and verbally).
• Solution-focused and commercially aware, providing well-considered options and confident recommendations when addressing challenging personnel matters.
• Proficient in stakeholder engagement, including confidently presenting to senior leaders, clients, and cross-functional teams.
• Adaptable and driven by growth, enthusiastic about ambiguity and eager to challenge the status quo to enhance processes and outcomes.
• People-centric mindset, with a strong emphasis on the experiences of our customers, team members, and employees in all endeavors.
• Tech-savvy & AI-literate: Digitally proficient with a keen interest in HR technology and AI; practical experience using AI tools for drafting, research, and data analysis is highly regarded.
• Continuous Improvement Orientation: A demonstrated history of optimizing existing processes, scaling operations, and shifting from reactive problem-solving to proactive strategies.
• High-Performance Focus: Flourishes in a metrics-driven environment with an emphasis on speed, accuracy, and high-quality results for global clients.
