Senior Internal Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Assist in fulfilling the annual Sarbanes-Oxley obligations and the yearly internal audit schedule.

• Conduct audit testing procedures on essential controls associated with SOX.

• Generate SOX status reports.

• Gather and evaluate adequate evidential material.

• Execute internal financial and/or system audits along with risk assessments.

• Assess and document financial and computer system records to ensure information system integrity and accuracy of transactions.

• Report any discrepancies found.

• Develop audit plans and comprehend the specific issues that require evaluation.

• Carry out internal audits within the defined business process controls.

• Create formal written reports to convey audit findings to management and offer recommendations.

• Assist external auditors as necessary.

• Engage in projects aimed at enhancing or establishing efficient and effective processes within the department.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.

• Over 2 years of experience in public accounting, audit, or internal audit.

• Proficient knowledge and skills in auditing related to finance/accounting and/or information system operations.

• Familiarity with data analytics and audit testing methodologies.

• Anticipated travel requirement of 0-20%.
