This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Collaborate with the Testing Lead, government stakeholders, interface development teams, functional teams, and external vendors to plan and execute iterative interface testing, while supporting the analysis, resolution, retesting, and closure of defects.
• Review requirements, user stories, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), business process flows, data mappings, and technical diagrams to gain an understanding of interface functionality and establish test coverage.
• Review, develop, and update test plans, test cases, and scripts for newly created or modified interfaces, incorporating both positive and negative test scenarios.
• Conduct interface testing following configuration changes or development, validating inbound or outbound file transfers, data mappings, transformations, business rules, error handling, and processing outcomes between Momentum Financials and external systems.
• Utilize the Momentum Financials front end and database to confirm interface processing, transaction results, record counts, control totals, data accuracy, and reconciliation outcomes. Develop or coordinate the necessary test data to facilitate interface test scenarios.
• Document test evidence and results, maintain and prioritize the defect log, assist in defect retesting and closure, and prepare testing status and summary reports.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8 years of total professional experience, which includes experience with Momentum Financials or another enterprise resource planning system.
• 4 years of relevant testing experience, encompassing the development and execution of test scripts, documentation of test results and evidence, identification of defects, and support for defect resolution and retesting.
• Proven experience testing interfaces between an ERP application and external systems, including validation of data mappings, file or message processing, business rules, error handling, and anticipated system results.
• Proficiency in using Oracle SQL to query and analyze database records, validate interface processing and data accuracy, and aid in defect investigation.
• Experience in reviewing requirements, user stories, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), data mappings, business process flows, or technical diagrams to create interface test scenarios and scripts.
• Familiarity with federal financial business processes and a solid understanding of testing strategies, methodologies, defect management, and iterative or progressive integration testing.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to clearly document test results, defects, risks, and testing status for both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively with government stakeholders, developers, functional teams, and external vendors in a demanding, high-visibility environment.
• Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
