This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Interact with clients: Our revenue and program management teams depend on us to ensure that key technical influencers among our customers and prospects have a comprehensive understanding of our technology, distinguishing what makes our platform superior to competitors, and how to efficiently integrate and activate it.
• Balance overarching goals with minute details: You possess empathy, placing yourself in the customer's position and providing robust recommendations to address their challenges. This necessitates zooming out to grasp the broader context, framing simple requests to underscore potential downstream effects or challenges before they arise—while also diving into the details, executing precise, meticulous tasks with minimal oversight to ensure the customer’s vision becomes a reality.
• Comprehend and advocate for the customer technical experience: Collaborating with cross-functional teams and a diverse range of customers, you will gain exceptional insights into Marqeta's technical capabilities, distinctive features, and the advantages our platform provides. You will act as a tokenization technical resource for the delivery and onboarding team and serve as the 'voice of our customers' in external engagements, bringing implementation insights and customer feedback to our internal Product and Technology teams.
• 4-6+ years of experience engaging with enterprise customers, handling technical discussions in a sales engineering, implementation, or technical account management role.
• Competent in working with APIs (you don't need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable explaining API concepts to our clients).
• Familiarity with tools like Bruno or Postman; experience with SQL and Datadog is advantageous.
• Capability to comprehend intricate enterprise requirements and articulate technical concepts clearly (both verbally and in writing), customizing recommendations based on client needs and evolving offerings.
• Skill in identifying customer onboarding challenges and collaborating cross-functionally to devise scalable solutions. Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple projects simultaneously; highly motivated and capable of working against tight timelines.
• Background in the B2B technology sector with an understanding of what drives business growth.
• Strong knowledge of payments, particularly issuing (e.g., tokenization, networks, point-of-sale).
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Multiple health insurance options.
• Flexible time off – take what you need.
• Retirement savings program with company contributions and after-tax contributions.
• Equity in a publicly traded company and an Employee Stock Purchase Program.
• Family-forming benefits, fertility support, and up to 20 weeks of Parental Leave.
• Free therapy sessions, financial and professional coaching, and legal advice.
• Monthly stipend to support our remote work model.
• Annual “development dollars” to promote our employees' growth and development.
• Through Flex First, the freedom to live and work wherever you and your family thrive.
