Senior Integration Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in sessions to refine requirements, gaining insights into business needs and developing technical documentation to assist development teams.

• Establish integration architectures and patterns that are appropriate for various scenarios, taking into account models such as Point-to-Point, Hub-and-Spoke, Event-Driven, and Service Mesh.

• Drive the API strategy by advocating for an API-first approach while ensuring the establishment of contracts, security protocols, versioning, and governance.

• Create and document APIs utilizing OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, ensuring they are scalable, reusable, and standardized.

• Develop and enforce security policies for integrations, covering aspects such as authentication, authorization, access control, and traffic management.

• Conduct data mapping, transformation, and validation among different systems, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and quality.

• Design integration workflows among applications, platforms, and enterprise systems, including both SaaS solutions and legacy environments.

• Create mechanisms for monitoring, observability, and traceability of integrations.

• Establish strategies for error handling, retries, contingencies, and recovery, ensuring the resilience of integrated processes.

• Collaborate with architecture, development, and business teams to ensure that solutions comply with technological standards and organizational goals.

• Contribute to the advancement of the integration architecture by promoting best practices, performance enhancements, scalability, and governance of services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in enterprise systems architecture and integration.

• Proficient in integration patterns and technologies, including REST, SOAP, Webhooks, Pub/Sub, and ETL/ELT processes.

• Advanced understanding of API authentication, authorization, and security measures, such as mTLS, JWT, OAuth 2.0, and API Keys.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing hybrid architectures that integrate on-premise solutions with cloud environments.

• Background in defining strategies for API- and service-oriented integration.

• Skilled in modeling and documenting architectures using tools like Lucidchart, Visio, or similar applications.

• Familiarity with technical documentation, flow diagrams, integration architecture, and the C4 model.

• Ability to convert business requirements into scalable, resilient, and secure technical solutions.

• Experience with monitoring, observability, and error handling in enterprise-level integrations.

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

• Preferred: experience with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), Apache Kafka, messaging platforms, microservices, Service Bus, Message Brokers, API Management, multi-cloud environments, and distributed architectures.

• Relevant certifications in solutions architecture, integration, or cloud computing are advantageous.

• Familiarity with tools and technologies: REST, SOAP, Webhooks, APIs, OpenAPI (Swagger), OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, API Keys, Kafka, Service Bus, ETL/ELT tools, Lucidchart, Visio, Cloud and On-Premise environments, microservices, and EDA.
