This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver escalated support and operational maintenance for client environments.
• Engage in client project initiatives, which include infrastructure upgrades and the deployment of new technologies.
• Act as an escalation point for the Network Operations Center and support engineers.
• Resolve complex issues and assist non-technical users with remote troubleshooting.
• Operate and manage Windows servers within VMware/Hyper-V virtualized settings.
• Build and oversee Azure and AWS environments.
• Support high-availability and disaster-recovery setups.
• Analyze server alerts, troubleshoot resource utilization, and pinpoint root causes.
• Manage Windows Server operating systems, roles, features, security patching, permissions, certificates, logging, backup, and recovery.
• Manage and troubleshoot VMware vSphere and Hyper-V infrastructure.
• Implement, configure, and maintain Hyper-V clusters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on virtualization solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations and perform off-hours changes as necessary.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
• Over 7 years of relevant work experience in a client-facing position.
• VMware certifications, including VCP/VCAP.
• Advanced experience in PowerShell scripting.
• Proficient in cloud technology infrastructure, networking, and system integrations.
• Experience in responding to client inquiries and delivering timely, professional support.
• Background in operational maintenance, system upgrades, and troubleshooting issues.
• Ability to provide prompt service and high-quality work outputs.
• Strong client service orientation and effective communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, team-focused environment.
• Experience with Windows Server operating systems, including older versions 2008, 2008 R2, and 2012.
• Knowledge of Windows Server roles and features such as Active Directory/Entra, DNS, DHCP, file and print services, failover clustering, Remote Desktop Services, Network Policy and Access Services, Web Server, NTP, WMI, and Certificate Authorities.
• Understanding of Windows Server backup, recovery, security, feature patching, logging, and share versus NTFS permissions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Certificate Authority hierarchies and the processes for certificate issuance and revocation.
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere components, hosts, datastores, vSwitches/port groups, virtual machines, snapshots, VMware Tools, maintenance mode, and host patching.
• Ability to manage and monitor Hyper-V virtual machines, hosts, networks, and clusters.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and handle off-hours changes.
• Preferred: Microsoft MCP or MCSA certifications.
• Preferred: Experience with Linux.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and bend for the entirety of the shift.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs and travel to client work sites may be required.
• Fully remote position.
• Starting salary of $100,000 annually.
