Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Postgres

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee reliability and operations for ClickHouse’s Postgres integration, encompassing upgrades, patching, maintenance, and scaling efforts.

• Create and implement automated solutions for provisioning, deployments, and service lifecycle management across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Develop infrastructure-as-code using Terraform along with contemporary CI/CD tools.

• Contribute Go-based tools and services that enhance automation, observability, and the overall developer experience.

• Take ownership of observability and monitoring, including alerting, metrics, and tracing in various environments.

• Lead incident management and postmortem practices.

• Work collaboratively with platform, networking, and product teams to enhance service operability.

• Mentor and empower engineers as customer adoption increases.

• Write production-level code, influence architectural decisions, and assist in scaling ClickHouse’s cloud data platform along with its Postgres integration.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.

• Proven history of managing distributed, production-grade systems.

• Strong understanding of Postgres operations, scaling, and performance optimization.

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS.

• Familiarity with GCP and Azure.

• Comfortable working within multi-cloud environments.

• Expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, and containerized infrastructure.

• Strong Go development abilities or a desire to write and maintain production Go code.

• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, or similar tools.

• In-depth understanding of SLOs, incident response, and continuous enhancement in service reliability.

• A hands-on, resourceful, and autonomous approach, with a readiness to delve into complex challenges to achieve results.
