Senior Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Create, scale, and oversee Sysdig’s multi-cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premises infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code.

• Enhance system reliability, performance, and scalability in close partnership with software development teams.

• Engage in on-call rotations, lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analyses, and devise long-term preventive measures.

• Implement stringent cloud security, data protection protocols, and ensure regulatory compliance across all environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in designing and managing large-scale, high-availability production infrastructure.

• Strong proficiency in container orchestration and runtime technologies, particularly Kubernetes and Docker.

• Proven history of automating operational workflows to reduce toil and enhance system efficiency.

• Expertise with leading cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, IBM, or Azure) and enterprise observability/monitoring frameworks.

• Advanced scripting or software development abilities in Python, Go, or Bash within Linux environments.

• Profound foundational knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud-native network configurations.

• A proactive problem-solver committed to continuous improvement, automation, and operational excellence.
