This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee the Industrial Engineering team across various regions and offices.
• Facilitate the execution of high-impact Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial initiatives.
• Establish and implement a high-performing Process Optimization capability.
• Manage the creation of value propositions for process optimization, manufacturing, and industrial advisory services.
• Generate data-driven insights and convert them into actionable, deliverable solutions.
• Oversee and execute projects and workstreams to meet established quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and industrial engineering methodologies to evaluate and enhance client operations.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Engage in business development efforts, including proposals and thought leadership initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within AECOM.
• Contribute to the establishment of best-practice methods and standards.
• Aid in capability development through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Travel approximately 15–20% within the United States and internationally as required.
• Participate in in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, along with 8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• A Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Professional memberships and/or certifications are advantageous.
• A preferred overall industry experience of 15 years, including 3–5 years in a role-specific capacity.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, process improvement, or similar operational settings.
• Familiarity with or experience in highly regulated industries.
• Proficient in analyzing complex problems and formulating practical, value-driven solutions.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Capacity to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Skill in translating analytical findings into actionable recommendations.
• Experience applying Lean principles in non-manufacturing settings.
• Consulting experience in complex project environments is a plus.
• Proficient in process mapping, analysis, and optimization.
• Familiarity with production systems, facility design, or industrial operations.
• Experience with data analysis and performance enhancement.
• Background in project delivery and workstream management.
• Preferable experience with automation, robotics, or manufacturing systems integration.
• Familiarity with digital manufacturing, simulation, or data analytics tools is preferable.
