This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute the technical implementation of Baxter Care Communications products.
• Lead and carry out the deployment of Baxter’s Care Communications products and the integration of partner applications/systems.
• Facilitate discussions on network architecture, system fail-over, and other design aspects with the customer PMO, IT, MIS or bio-med departments, installation contractors, and other relevant trades as necessary.
• Collaborate with customer IT departments to assess and analyze network security requirements and develop policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of specified customer servers, device infrastructure, and network topology.
• Oversee the technical elements of team-based projects, managing the dynamic deployment of advanced features and applications, which may include customized integrations, evolving configurations, and adjustments to system functionality to meet clinical workflow demands.
• Conduct site surveys and RF surveys, and develop system integration plans utilizing various vendor products.
• Review system designs to ensure precision and performance integrity.
• Provide direction, training, and oversight to internal and external contractors during implementations to guarantee that installations align with Care Communications requirements.
• A Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required, or a minimum of 3+ years of relevant server/network engineering experience.
• Must be willing and able to travel approximately 50%; however, travel may reach 100% and on short notice when business requires.
• Advanced knowledge of deploying and supporting Microsoft Windows platforms, SQL, IIS server, and associated networked systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of common network protocols/architecture (TCP/IP, IP routing, the OSI model, VLAN) and their associated security issues, including network troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark, PUTTY, and CLI.
• Knowledge of back-end network security and Active Directory functionality.
• Experience in server administration within Linux server environments is a plus.
• Understanding of project management principles and a proven track record of executing projects.
• Ability to lead small teams with varied technical expertise during implementations as required.
• Experience in configuring, setting up, and troubleshooting PC-based systems.
• Preferred certifications include: Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCDP, or CCNP), CWLS, CWNA, Wireless certifications (CWNE, CWNP, CWSP, AWLAT, MNAWS, MNAWP, MNCE), and General certifications (MCSE or MCSA, Network+, Security+).
