This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• We are initiating a brand-new Professional Services (PS) function at UpGuard, marking a Day 1, foundational hire. We are not merely seeking someone to follow an existing playbook; we require an experienced practitioner to assist us in creating it. You will oversee intricate enterprise deployments while concurrently collaborating with leadership to establish the standard operating procedures that will enable our global team to scale.
• Foundational Practice Building: Craft and document repeatable implementation methodologies, project plans, and SOPs based on your hands-on experiences.
• Enterprise Delivery & Scope Management: Take ownership of complex deployments from start to finish. Manage client expectations, proactively prevent scope creep, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure a smooth transition to Customer Success.
• Technical Integration & Platform Expertise: Cultivate in-depth knowledge of UpGuard's capabilities. Design and troubleshoot intricate integrations utilizing REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party systems (ITSM, SIEM, SSO).
• Process Re-engineering & Translation: Convert vague client requirements into actionable technical specifications. Revamp legacy vendor risk workflows to harness UpGuard's automation and adhere to industry best practices.
• Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership: Establish trust with both highly technical audiences (IT/SecOps) and executive sponsors (CISOs). Serve as the connecting force between PS, Sales, and Product to relay field insights back into the roadmap.
• Over 5 years of experience in a B2B SaaS implementation, solutions architecture, or professional services role, with a demonstrated history of managing concurrent, complex enterprise deployments.
• Required experience consulting with large organizations (5,000+ employees), and expertise in GRC is highly preferred.
• The "Builder" Mindset: Remain composed under ambiguity. You naturally desire to enhance your surroundings and excel in an environment where the playbook is continually evolving.
• Familiarity with PSA tools (Rocketlane, Certinia, Productive, etc.).
• Consultative Authority: Outstanding ability to engage confidently with executive stakeholders, assertively push back when needed, and guide customers toward best practices rather than merely taking orders.
• Monthly Lifestyle subsidy: Use this for financial, physical, and mental well-being.
• WFH set-up allowance: To ensure you have the ideal environment for work, we will assist you in getting set up within your first 3 months at UpGuard.
• $1500 USD annual Learning & Development allowance: To support your career growth, all team members will be able to expense professional development opportunities against this allowance.
• Annual leave: 6 weeks PTO plus two additional UpGuardian leave days to allow you time to recharge.
• 18 weeks paid Parental Leave: Applicable regardless of parenting role.
• Personal Leave Allowance: This includes sick & carer’s leave.
• Fully remote working environment: While we have physical offices in Sydney & Hobart, attendance is not mandatory.
• Top-spec hardware: All team members will be provided with high-performance laptops for their roles.
• Generative AI subsidy: UpGuard offers paid subscriptions for all team members to access generative AI tools to support their work.
