This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the main point of contact with client tax professionals.
• Organize, set up, and lead sessions to gather business and user requirements, translating them into design and solution documentation.
• Support the analysis and execution of Microsoft D365 implementations that demonstrate a thorough understanding of the client’s tax obligations and compliance procedures.
• Collaborate with other teams at Thomson Reuters as necessary to provide comprehensive Indirect Tax solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all Indirect tax-related requirements.
• Clarify ONESOURCE Integration issues related to Microsoft D365 and propose solutions for non-tax and technical personnel.
• Collaborate with clients to convert their tax policies into ONESOURCE Solutions.
• Configure the ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Integration for Microsoft D365.
• Operate within a structured project management framework.
• Partner with Pre-sales teams on prospective clients and bid proposals.
• Collaborate with both functional and technical colleagues to successfully deliver the implementation.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years with Microsoft D365.
• Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills are required.
• Strong technical proficiency in implementing Microsoft D365 and/or add-on solutions.
• Capability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising from multiple installed add-ons; adept at resolving Microsoft D365 system problems.
• Experience in process analysis, design, mapping, re-engineering, and conducting process/software gap analysis and resolution.
• Proven track record of creating and executing test cases and test scripts.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft D365 application.
• Knowledge of APIs, Web services (SOAP & REST), and XML.
• Experience configuring transaction taxes and related master data in Microsoft D365.
• Desirable experience with integrating third-party enterprise tax products (e.g., ONESOURCE Determination, ONESOURCE Compliance, Avalara, Sovos, CCH, Sabrix, Taxware, and/or Vertex).
• Ability to write or modify existing integration software and incorporate software applications and modules according to agreed specifications, developed collaboratively.
• Object-Oriented Programming experience is preferred.
• Microsoft D365 Certification is a plus.
