Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer – Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with estimating and project teams located in Australia.

• Engage directly with Australian builders, clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.

• Analyze mechanical drawings and specifications.

• Conduct quantity take-offs.

• Prepare estimates for commercial HVAC projects.

• Examine tender documentation thoroughly.

• Detect any missing scope within the project.

• Identify discrepancies in scope between mechanical and electrical components.

• Recognize potential commercial risks.

• Support value engineering initiatives.

• Proactively seek opportunities to achieve the same performance at a reduced cost.

• Discover cost-saving opportunities throughout the duration of the project.

• Compose clear and professional emails directed at Australian builders.

• Draft RFIs that are precise and unambiguous.

• Summarize technical matters in straightforward language.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• 5 to 7+ years of relevant experience.

• Extensive experience with Australian commercial HVAC systems.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Knowledge of electrical services.

• Experience with CAMEL is a significant advantage.

• Proficient in accurate heat loads and equipment selection.

• Strong understanding of controls, BMS, and control logic.

• High level of attention to detail.

• Strong commercial acumen.

• Excellent engineering judgment.

• Ability to work autonomously.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• Confident in direct interactions with Australians.
