Senior Human Resources Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver HR support services to meet the operational goals of our federal client.

• Evaluate incoming recruitment requests and collaborate with HR personnel on position/job specifications.

• Create job opportunity announcements (JOAs) utilizing the USA Staffing System.

• Manage applications submitted via USA Staffing, verify CTAP and ICTAP eligibility, and adjudicate veterans’ preferences along with minimum qualifications.

• Reach out to applicants on the ranking list and provide relevant notifications through USA Staffing.

• Perform quality assessments of all referral candidates, ensuring precise ratings and possession of essential competencies.

• Generate electronic referral lists in USA Staffing in accordance with merit system principles and delegated examining procedures.

• Address applicant inquiries effectively.

• Conduct audits of returned certificates and issue disposition notices to candidates not selected.

• Respond to routine queries from internal stakeholders concerning staffing, recruitment, and/or classification actions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• An active DE Certification is required.

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience as a federal employee or contractor is necessary.

• Familiarity and experience with USA Staffing Systems, the Delegated Examiner Unit, OPM classifications, and other federal HR policies, procedures, and regulations are essential.

• Capability to successfully pass a federal background check.

• Proficient in operating office equipment (computers, copiers, fax machines, labelers, etc.) to scan, file, and/or store electronic and paper documents for future reference.

• Competent in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
