📋 Description

• Foster robust relationships throughout the organization while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of employee experiences and team dynamics.

• Assist in designing and enhancing a structured onboarding program that prepares new employees for success from the outset, reflecting NSTXL’s culture and values, including tailored onboarding paths, 30/60/90-day frameworks, and organized check-ins.

• Develop and enhance policies, programs, and practices related to personnel, including formal feedback channels and engagement surveys.

• Collaborate with managers on complex personnel issues, such as challenging conversations, feedback, and accountability, while creating resources and toolkits that enhance their confidence and independence over time, adhering to legal constraints.

• Create and implement training programs for managers that equip them with the necessary skills for effective leadership.

• Establish and refine performance and development practices that promote clear expectations, constructive feedback, accountability, and employee growth.

• Develop a learning and development strategy and program infrastructure that facilitates employee growth at all levels, including new manager training, career path frameworks, and scalable access to learning resources.

• Collaborate with managers and leaders to enhance leadership effectiveness and foster a culture of continuous learning within the organization.

• Act as the main point of contact for employee relations issues, encompassing concerns, complaints, and escalations.

• Oversee workplace investigations from initiation to resolution, including documenting findings, recommending corrective actions, and ensuring proper follow-through to safeguard both the individual and the organization.

• Develop and maintain clear frameworks for employee relations.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and up-to-date HR best practices, proactively addressing changes that impact a growing, multi-state, or distributed workforce.

• Create, enhance, and sustain a comprehensive set of HR policies and employee handbook materials that represent NSTXL’s values, operational needs, and legal obligations, scaling alongside organizational growth.

• Establish and uphold a compliance training program that guarantees all employees and managers meet required training obligations, with scalable resources and infrastructure that evolve with the organization.

• Collaborate with the VP of Human Resources on benefits strategy, including assessing plan competitiveness, supporting open enrollment, communicating program value to employees, and recommending enhancements aligned with NSTXL’s growth and workforce requirements.

• Develop and maintain HR process documentation that ensures the team operates consistently and efficiently, including standard operating procedures, templates, and guides that support daily operations and minimize reliance on individual institutional knowledge.

• Assist in evolving NSTXL’s hiring practices, candidate experience, and talent systems as the organization expands.


⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior generalist or HR Manager position.

• Proven experience supporting organizations during startup and high-growth phases, ideally having contributed to scaling from early-stage to over 200 employees, with hands-on responsibility for developing HR programs in environments with minimal or no formal infrastructure.

• Extensive generalist experience across all fundamental HR disciplines.

• Demonstrated ability to create policies, processes, and programs from the ground up in situations where tasks were not predefined; you have personally crafted the frameworks, authored the documentation, and built the programs that are now utilized by others.

• Experience in conducting or overseeing workplace investigations and managing intricate employee relations matters.

• Direct experience in managing and developing employees or small teams.
