Senior HR Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee and resolve employee exits from start to finish across various international jurisdictions, ensuring an exceptional offboarding experience for Remote's clients and their employees.

β€’ Offer expert advice and manage client inquiries on a range of HR topics, including but not limited to termination, resignation, transfer processes, employment contracts, and redundancy procedures, while ensuring legal compliance and adherence to best practices.

β€’ Lead and conduct meetings with clients and external employees, including but not limited to consultations regarding workforce reductions, administrative hearings, negotiations surrounding separations and settlements, providing guidance on terminations, and conveying termination outcomes.

β€’ Negotiate favorable results in complex terminations, balancing the interests of multiple stakeholders with conflicting priorities.

β€’ Collaborate with various internal and external partners to guarantee compliance in offboarding activities and audits, including but not limited to payroll, legal advisors, government agencies, and trade unions.

β€’ Prepare, customize, and manage all termination and supplementary documentation with precision and attention to detail, ensuring strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality regulations in employee records.

β€’ Facilitate offboarding processes on Remote's internal HRIS platform, working alongside various internal teams, such as Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance, to ensure that all aspects of the employee exit are executed accurately and in a timely manner.

β€’ Serve as the subject-matter expert, addressing internal and external inquiries regarding all offboarding issues in conjunction with Lifecycle's internal stakeholders.

β€’ Guide clients through Remote's Employee Relations resources and documentation, assisting them in understanding relevant policies and procedures.

β€’ Perform initial assessments of workplace concerns, identifying key facts and applicable local regulations.

β€’ Coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate management of employee relations issues.

β€’ Aid clients in grasping progressive disciplinary practices and the necessary documentation requirements.

β€’ Track ongoing employee relations cases, ensuring timely follow-ups and coordination with relevant stakeholders.

β€’ Actively seek opportunities for and contribute to process enhancements, automation, product development, and the overall customer and employee experience through offboarding and employee relations processes.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, possessing generalist HR skills and exposure throughout the employee lifecycle.

β€’ Demonstrated experience with a solid background in managing both voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance; providing comprehensive HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.

β€’ Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR challenges, conduct research, offer practical solutions, and communicate recommendations effectively to clients and internal stakeholders in ambiguous and unfamiliar situations.

β€’ Basic understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline methods, and fundamental workplace investigation techniques.

β€’ Exceptional communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation abilities, capable of leading challenging conversations towards positive outcomes, often in situations where parties have conflicting interests, while maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality.

β€’ Advanced business-level proficiency in written and spoken English, with proficiency in additional languages considered an advantage.

β€’ A keen desire and capacity to innovate and streamline processes, consistently identifying and implementing opportunities for automation and advocating for best practices.

β€’ Operational efficiency, with an awareness of the significance of meticulous record-keeping and data integrity.

β€’ Technologically adept, able to collaborate asynchronously on various tools, and adapt to new and evolving systems.

β€’ Capability to work independently and cohesively within an international team in a fast-paced, asynchronous, remote environment with competing priorities, along with a willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.

β€’ Proactive and self-driven, exhibiting a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

β€’ Exhibits strong automation and AI capabilities along with fluency in AI technologies.
