Senior HR Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions – APAC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and resolve intricate employee exit processes independently across various international jurisdictions.

• Offer expert guidance on matters related to termination, resignation, transfers, employment contracts, redundancy processes, and other HR-related issues.

• Facilitate meetings with clients and external employees, including consultations regarding workforce reductions, administrative hearings, separation and settlement negotiations, and termination outcomes.

• Influence and negotiate favorable results in complex termination scenarios.

• Collaborate with payroll, legal advisors, governmental entities, trade unions, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and conduct audits during offboarding.

• Draft, customize, and manage termination and supplementary documents while ensuring the confidentiality of employee records.

• Execute offboarding processes using Remote’s internal HRIS platform and coordinate efforts with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance teams.

• Provide informal escalation support, expertise, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members.

• Offer first-level Employee Relations guidance and assist clients in navigating complex workplace situations.

• Conduct initial assessments of workplace concerns and identify relevant regulations and potential resolutions.

• Monitor and track employee relations cases, ensuring timely follow-up.

• Address internal and external inquiries regarding offboarding and first-level employee relations issues.

• Identify and promote process enhancements, automation, product development, and improvements to customer and employee experiences.

• Establish methods, procedures, and standards for new assignments while adapting complex techniques to achieve desired results.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience working as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with comprehensive HR competencies throughout the employee lifecycle.

• Tertiary qualifications in HR, labor relations, or employment law are advantageous.

• Demonstrated experience in independently managing both voluntary and involuntary exits with attention to care, sensitivity, and legal compliance.

• Experience providing HR advice and insights on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

• Strong understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline methods, and fundamentals of workplace investigations.

• Capability to interpret and apply industrial instruments and analyze complex HR challenges.

• Proficient in researching issues, converting findings into usable resources for the team, and offering practical recommendations.

• Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to independently steer challenging conversations toward positive outcomes while maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality.

• Proficient in business-level (advanced) written and spoken English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

• Innovative mindset with a focus on process optimization, automation, and advocating best practices.

• Operational efficiency with a strong emphasis on record-keeping and data integrity.

• Tech-savvy, capable of collaborating asynchronously using various tools, and adaptable to changing systems.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, international, asynchronous remote environment.

• Willingness to work flexible hours as required.

• Proactive, self-motivated, accountable, and able to inspire those around you.

• Strong capabilities in automation and AI, along with fluency in AI concepts.

• Completion of prior employment verification checks.
