Senior High-Performance Storage Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Implement, oversee, and validate High-Performance Storage infrastructure within AI Factory Linux-based environments.

• Act as the subject matter expert for customers throughout the planning and implementation phases.

• Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to analyze, define, and execute large-scale AI Factory initiatives.

• Assist in projects related to networking, system design, automation, and validation.

• Create documentation for handover processes and conduct necessary knowledge transfers to support customers.

• Provide insights to internal teams by reporting bugs, documenting workarounds, and recommending enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a four-year degree from an accredited university or college in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in delivering comprehensive support, deployment, and validation services; addressing issues related to hardware and software-based storage products.

• Proficient in systems and storage technologies and concepts, including SDS, NFS, S3, NVMeoF, Lustre, GPFS, and RMDA (RoCEv2/InfiniBand).

• Familiarity with storage benchmarking tools, such as FIO, IO500, IOR, HPL, NCCL tests, and MLPerf storage.

• Experience in Linux system administration, performance reporting/optimization/logging, and network-routing/advanced networking (including tuning and monitoring).

• Proficient in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.).

• Strong interpersonal skills and capability to provide resolutions for customer issues as they occur.

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively with minimal supervision.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations within the region up to 20% of the time.

• Experience with parallel and distributed filesystem solutions such as Ceph, Weka.io, Vast, DDN, etc. (a standout qualification).

• Expertise in enhancing storage performance for AI training, checkpointing, inference, or large-scale data pipelines (a standout qualification).

• A solid foundation in networking, including Spectrum-X Ethernet, InfiniBand, NVLink switch fabrics, congestion control, and datacenter topologies (a standout qualification).
