Senior HCL Digital Experience, WCM Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Create, maintain, and enhance enterprise portals utilizing HCL Digital Experience (DX) and HCL Web Content Manager (WCM).

• Design, build, and configure components, templates, and functionalities within HCL WCM.

• Develop backend solutions using Java and Java EE, including portlet development and JSF.

• Connect external services and systems via HCL WCM and Digital Asset Management (DAM) REST APIs.

• Create and sustain web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.

• Utilize the Dojo toolkit to enhance and maintain existing frontend functionalities.

• Analyze monitoring metrics, pinpoint performance bottlenecks, and resolve system issues.

• Investigate incidents, diagnose intricate technical problems, and implement effective resolutions.

• Contribute to the design of application architectures, development strategies, and platform administration processes.

• Ensure the quality, stability, maintainability, and performance of created solutions.

• Work Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, with flexible hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in enterprise web development, ideally with hands-on expertise in HCL DX/WCM.

• Practical experience with HCL Digital Experience (DX) or HCL Portal.

• Strong understanding of HCL Web Content Manager (WCM).

• Proven track record in designing and developing components within HCL WCM.

• High proficiency in Java / Java EE.

• Experience in portlet development and JSF.

• Solid grasp of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with jQuery, AJAX, and the Dojo toolkit.

• Experience with system integration through REST APIs.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to identify and address application performance issues.

• Proficient in English at level C1 or above.

• Experience with HCL DX version 9.5 (preferred).

• Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) (preferred).

• Background in application monitoring, log analysis, and resolving complex issues (preferred).

• Knowledge of enterprise application architecture (preferred).

• Experience in administering and optimizing enterprise portals (preferred).
