Senior Graphic Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Learn and implement brand guidelines and values throughout print and digital design projects.

• Develop captivating web designs, such as email and page banners, infographics, and related resources.

• Create graphics and layouts utilizing Adobe Creative Suite.

• Collaborate with marketing teams to generate content for campaigns across various media platforms.

• Design and refine brochures, promotional documents, and other marketing assets.

• Produce and format templated PDFs for thought leadership articles.

• Develop and update fillable PDFs using Adobe Acrobat along with integrated office and Creative Suite tools.

• Edit, resize, and enhance images and staff photography.

• Proofread short-form content to ensure accuracy, quality, and correct English usage.

• Maintain consistent file naming, organization, and storage protocols.

• Support quality assurance and peer review processes.

• Prioritize and organize design requests to meet project deadlines.

• Create static and animated data visualizations using Flourish.

• Work closely with the web agency and collaborate with Editorial, Creative, Operational, and Website teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

• Skilled in Adobe After Effects; familiarity with other Adobe tools is a bonus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

• Must have experience with Figma.

• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Capable of interpreting briefs and transforming ideas into compelling visual designs.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Experience in developing visual concepts and designing infographics.

• Basic animation skills required.

• Strong understanding of branding principles and marketing strategies.

• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to stay self-motivated.

• Creative mindset and capability to deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.

• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience.

• A portfolio that demonstrates design capabilities.

• Good Excel skills and some experience in data visualization would be beneficial.

• Legally authorized to live and work in South Africa without the need for employer sponsorship.
