This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.
β’ Oversee the design and development of high-performance backend services utilizing Go, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and built on a clean architecture.
β’ Influence critical architectural choices within a microservices environment, assess technology options, and establish integration patterns and best practices.
β’ Analyze applications, enhance CPU and memory usage, optimize Go's garbage collection, and utilize concurrency primitives to attain peak performance.
β’ Create efficient data models, refine complex queries and indexing strategies in PostgreSQL/MySQL, ensuring optimal performance under heavy read/write loads (thousands of QPS).
β’ Integrate observability into services by establishing metrics, logging, and distributed tracing. Engage in production incident investigations and conduct root cause analysis across application code, networking, and operating system layers.
β’ Perform comprehensive code reviews, impart technical knowledge, mentor engineers, and advocate for engineering best practices throughout the team.
β’ Work closely with DevOps, QA, Product, and other engineering teams to deliver production-ready features promptly, securely, and reliably.
β’ 4β5+ years of professional experience using Go as the main programming language, with an in-depth understanding of its internals, including memory management, scheduler, maps, channels, garbage collection, sync.Pool, and atomic operations.
β’ Demonstrated experience in designing, constructing, and managing large-scale distributed systems and microservices in high-load production settings.
β’ Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL or MySQL, covering query optimization, indexing strategies, replication, clustering, and resolving lock contention in multi-terabyte databases.
β’ Practical experience with messaging platforms like NATS and Apache Kafka, along with a robust understanding of their architectural trade-offs, such as latency and persistence.
β’ Thorough knowledge of Linux internals, networking principles, virtualization, and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), with the capability to effectively troubleshoot production issues.
