Senior GNC Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contributing to the advancement of customer U.S.'s satellite Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems.

• Engaging in the complete development lifecycle, from defining requirements to operational deployment.

• Designing and implementing GNC solutions for innovative spacecraft designs to support a wide range of new mission payloads on Airbus spacecraft platforms.

• Analyzing, designing, and/or developing GNC systems, including:

• Ensuring the optimal reuse of existing Airbus heritage products and, if necessary, identifying the need for modifications.

• Demonstrating the ability to manage multiple design initiatives (programs or missions)—which may encompass spacecraft, payloads, satellite buses, and/or launch integration efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience (with a bachelor's degree) or 6 years (with a master's degree) in the analysis, design, and verification of guidance, navigation, and control systems for spacecraft.

• At least 5 years of direct experience in guidance, navigation, and control system analysis, design, and verification on spacecraft.

• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and STK.

• Expertise in modeling, simulating, and analyzing the performance of spacecraft GNC sensors, actuators, dynamics, and algorithms.

• Familiarity and experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (SysML/UML) and processes involving requirements, architectures, interfaces, and trade studies.

• Understanding of software development, verification, and validation processes.

• Experience with object-oriented programming languages (C, C++) and scripting languages (TCL, Python).

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
