Senior Global Sourcing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Formulate strategies for commodity sourcing that consider supply market dynamics, technological advancements, and product demand forecasts.

• Manage supplier relationships, overseeing the selection, qualification, development, and overall administration of suppliers.

• Conduct analysis, planning, and execution for global supply base consolidation.

• Process quote requests, facilitate engineering clarifications, evaluate quote responses, conduct cost analysis, and prepare recommendations for sourcing.

• Lead negotiations, including the final pricing and establishment of supply contracts or agreements.

• Collaborate with site managers to identify supply requirements and perform sourcing analysis.

• Manage communication regarding contract data and volumes across global teams and the supply base.

• Drive continuous improvements in cost and performance by analyzing cost drivers, processes, and specifications.

• Utilize supplier capabilities and business opportunities both domestically and internationally.

• Maintain internal and external communications concerning sourcing, pricing, and material demand.

• Execute other necessary tasks as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Education and/or experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree.

• At least five years of experience in commodity purchasing.

• Outstanding negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

• Familiarity with purchasing methods and procedures.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to collaborate with others.

• Strong understanding of business mathematics.

• Proven computer skills, particularly in spreadsheets, word processing, database management, and other relevant software applications.

• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs; local practices may apply.

• Proficiency in computer skills.

• Experience in supplier management.

• Competence in contract/agreement review.

• Skills in negotiation.

• Ability to generate reports.

• Knowledge of product pricing, quality, availability, and delivery.

• Strong mathematical skills.
