This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Gather, compile, organize, and analyze both spatial and tabular data to aid in GIS application development.
• Update and sustain intricate database information utilizing the latest technologies.
• Design, install, and configure ArcGIS Enterprise instances across various hardware servers.
• Manipulate structured data within databases, GIS, and spreadsheets through scripting languages, SQL, and GIS tools.
• Generate products and models by employing Python scripting and automating processes.
• Produce GIS technical recommendations, assessments, standard operating procedures, and administrative/help documentation.
• Conduct spatial and non-spatial statistical and analytical tasks, including spatial aggregations, joins, neighborhood analysis, and raster analysis.
• Utilize Esri GIS toolsets, ArcGIS Online, and other cloud GIS technologies for advanced spatial analysis.
• Create static maps, interactive maps, and derived spatial data products.
• Formulate strategies for real-time and large-scale spatial datasets, and prototype data requirements with analysts, data scientists, engineers, modelers, and IT personnel.
• Convert business-value objectives into maps, visuals, and supportive data models.
• Draft GIS strategic plans, policies, procedures, and technical documents tailored for government audiences.
• Execute georeferencing, geoprocessing, geocoding, 3D corridor and surface modeling, linear referencing, publication, and web mapping service integration.
• Transform various data formats into spatial data and offer documentation and training for stakeholders.
• Develop and personalize tools for data loading, conversion, and web-based GIS applications.
• Deliver GIS services encompassing strategic planning, system design, implementation, and on-call maintenance for government clients.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in geospatial analysis utilizing GIS or geospatial frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in geography or IT, or a higher degree in geography or IT.
• Certification in geospatial technologies, such as GISP, or the ability to obtain certification within six months of employment.
• Additional relevant experience may substitute for the required degree on a year-for-year basis.
• Proficiency in working with spatial data and collaborating with stakeholders, including tackling ill-defined datasets and issues.
• Experience in designing, installing, and configuring ArcGIS Enterprise on multiple hardware servers.
• Experience handling structured data in databases, GIS, and spreadsheets.
• Proficient in scripting languages, SQL, GIS, Python, and JavaScript.
• Technical expertise in Esri software, particularly ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, APIs, and related solutions.
• Familiarity with statistical and spatial analysis methods, including spatial aggregations and joins, neighborhood analysis, and raster analysis.
• Knowledge of ETL tools, FME, data interoperability, digitizing, geographic standards, coordinate systems, cartographic design, and raster/vector data creation and editing.
• Experience with georeferencing, geoprocessing, geocoding, 3D corridor and surface modeling, linear referencing, publication, and web mapping services.
• Experience in converting various data formats to spatial data.
• Experience in developing and customizing GIS data-loading, conversion, and web application tools.
