GIS Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, implement, customize, integrate, and maintain geospatial applications, as well as the functionality of the Intelli-Fiber platform and associated systems.

• Utilize ArcGIS and other GIS technologies to create, maintain, update, and enhance spatial data, mapping systems, and project databases.

• Assist with DevOps, change management, and service management processes, which include code deployment, issue resolution, and user support.

• Diagnose complex technical problems, conduct preventative maintenance, and ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the applications and systems being supported.

• Work collaboratively with project teams to assess requirements, devise solutions, lead projects when necessary, and guarantee the successful achievement of business goals.

• Keep abreast of new GIS and mapping technologies while fostering continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and user training.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with ArcGIS or other GIS platforms and geospatial technologies.

• Familiarity with software development methodologies and application lifecycle management.

• Knowledge of large-scale system integration concepts and technical architectures.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Proven capability to manage priorities, adhere to deadlines, and work independently within a team-oriented setting.
