Senior GenAI Engineer, Agentic AI – Databricks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Create a network of AI agents to streamline knowledge-intensive workflows.

• Define the architecture for GenAI solutions, assess trade-offs, and jointly own technical decisions from design to production delivery.

• Design, develop, and manage AI agents for data collection, indexing, and market intelligence.

• Integrate LLMs, prompts, and tools into dependable end-to-end workflows.

• Develop and sustain Databricks data pipelines and lakehouse architectures.

• Ingest, transform, and structure both structured and unstructured data for AI-driven applications.

• Create ontologies that categorize domain concepts and relationships, providing context for agent reasoning.

• Connect AI agents with Databricks data and functionalities.

• Evaluate integration strategies for Genie and custom agent frameworks.

• Develop and maintain Python components for web scraping, content extraction, and indexing.

• Assess tools, frameworks, and implementation methodologies.

• Propel enhancements across architecture, codebase, and engineering practices.

• Engage in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and project delivery.

• Articulate technical decisions, constructively challenge assumptions, and share insights on implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive engineering experience with accountability for complex technical solutions from architecture and design to production delivery.

• Proficient Python engineering skills with the capability to produce reliable, maintainable production code.

• Practical experience in developing GenAI applications, including LLM integration, agent frameworks, and prompt and tool orchestration.

• Solid background in data engineering, specifically in building pipelines and processing both structured and unstructured data.

• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including lakehouse architectures, notebooks, and workflows.

• Strong architectural judgment with the ability to assess trade-offs and make informed decisions despite incomplete information.

• Delivery-focused approach with technical ownership and active implementation.

• Technology-agnostic mindset with the capability to evaluate, adopt, and switch tools, agent frameworks, and platforms.

• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

• Preferred experience with knowledge graphs or ontology-based modeling.

• Preferred experience in developing scalable web scraping and crawling solutions.

• Familiarity with Databricks Genie or agent frameworks integrated with data platforms is preferred.

• Preferred experience in market intelligence, competitive analysis, or content indexing.

• Preferred experience in shaping architecture for early-stage or greenfield projects.
