This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee technical initiatives in DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation, ensuring comprehensive ownership and support for essential GCP services.
• Handle and resolve a significant number of ServiceNow tickets, performing expert triage to guarantee accurate prioritization (High/Medium/Low) and prompt resolution.
• Create automation runbooks for scheduled shutdowns of hybrid workers and other resources to achieve measurable cost savings.
• Improve Tekton clusters, facilitate GitHub repository migrations, and manage automated subscription lifecycle processes.
• Address vulnerabilities, enable Managed Identities on Function Apps, and implement hardened Linux OS policies and secure communication protocols in production environments.
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications, portals, and cloud-automation microservices using Python, Java, or React from the ground up.
• Develop backend services with Python and troubleshoot integrations involving Google Maps Platform API and Java/Spring Boot for Android/iOS applications.
• Manage and implement cloud-automation solutions such as Exception Frameworks, Cloud Health, Quota Management, and Cost Optimization tools to facilitate self-service capabilities and eliminate manual toil.
• Establish robust SRE platforms utilizing Dynatrace or GCP Ops Monitoring Suite to ensure all critical services implement metrics, observability, and proactive alerting.
• Conduct Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions for junior engineers to uphold team technical standards.
• Take part in the on-call rotation for the GCP operations platform, lead incident reviews, and perform thorough root cause analysis (RCA).
• Collaborate with Product Driven Organization (PDO) teams and Cloud Providers to define, architect, and implement tools that enhance debuggability, supportability, availability, scalability, and performance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (B.E/B.Tech).
• 5-7 years of total experience in the IT & IT Operations sector.
• GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in a GCP environment.
• Previous experience in Cloud Operations with a strong emphasis on Cloud Security (vulnerability remediation and threat protection).
• Background in networking (familiarity with VPCs, serverless connectors, etc.) is advantageous.
• Proficient in programming with Python (required), TypeScript/React, Java, Go, or Kubernetes for a minimum of 3 years.
• Over 3 years of hands-on experience with IaC languages such as Terraform and Ansible.
• At least 2 years of experience in designing and constructing CI/CD pipelines for IaC and microservices, preferably with Tekton.
• 2+ years of practical experience in building SRE platforms using Dynatrace or GCP Ops Monitoring Suites.
• Familiarity with Linux, virtualization, and cloud security tools.
• DevOps mindset: Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, treating operational issues as software challenges, and viewing software as a key resource for managing, fixing, and enhancing systems that support large development environments.
