Senior Fullstack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create high-quality, efficient workflows and experiences utilizing React and Next.js.

• Engage in full-stack development, which encompasses: TypeScript, NestJS, and PostgreSQL.

• Design scalable UI architecture employing component libraries and design systems.

• Take ownership of features from concept through to production.

• Utilize tools such as Cursor or Claude Code to quickly prototype and deploy features.

• Enhance code quality and minimize boilerplate code.

• Support debugging, refactoring, and test generation efforts.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Participate in code reviews, RFCs, and uphold engineering standards.

• Assist in defining and advancing best practices, patterns, and architectural guidelines.

• Maintain high quality through comprehensive testing (unit/integration/E2E) and solid fundamentals.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, other engineers, and SMEs from various areas of Cardata to develop solutions beyond just fulfilling ticket requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–10+ years of experience in developing modern web applications.

• Strong proficiency in: (TypeScript, React, NextJS); experience with NestJS is a plus.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational database systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of component architecture and design systems.

• Knowledge of state management and data fetching methodologies.

• Expertise in performance optimization and UX best practices.

• Practical experience with tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or similar AI resources in your development workflow.

• Awareness of efficiency improvements through specification-driven workflows.

• Solid grasp of testing (unit/integration), CI/CD, and code quality standards.

• Experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments with ambiguity.

• Proven capability to scope, decompose, and deliver intricate features.

• Proficient in collaborating and communicating effectively with Product, Design, and other SMEs, clearly articulating technical decisions.
