Senior Fullstack Engineer, Node/React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications utilizing Node.js/Fastify for backend services and React for frontend development.

• Create, develop, and integrate AI-driven solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.

• Optimize PostgreSQL queries and database structures to enhance performance and reliability.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in accordance with industry best practices.

• Engage in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to elevate code quality and maintainability.

• Collaborate with designers, QA engineers, product owners, clients, and other cross-functional team members to define and refine project requirements.

• Attend daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, bugs, and technical debt within both backend and frontend code.

• Monitor application health and reliability while implementing scalability enhancements.

• Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies, frameworks, AI development practices, and full-stack development methodologies.

• Spot opportunities to enhance development processes and application architecture.

• Contribute to a collaborative and learning-oriented team culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid experience with Node.js and Fastify for scalable backend services.

• Extensive experience with React and current frontend development methodologies.

• Practical experience in designing and developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.

• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith.

• Proficient in modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.

• Skilled in asynchronous operations, event-driven architectures, and middleware.

• Knowledge of component-based architecture, React hooks, and reusable UI patterns.

• Experience in responsive and cross-browser development.

• Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and stored procedures, preferably with PostgreSQL.

• Experience in developing AI-powered applications and integrating AI/LLM features into full-stack solutions.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.

• Ability to work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Experience with iterative development, backlog grooming, and consulting delivery.

• Familiarity with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using Jest, Mocha, Cypress, or similar frameworks.

• Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD).

• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application development.

• Bonus: Understanding of AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot or Tabnine.

• Bonus: Basic knowledge of machine learning libraries and their interaction with Node.js and Python-based services.
