Senior Fullstack Engineer, AI-proficient

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Manage the full product lifecycle. You will identify issues from product or founders, craft the specifications independently, determine the scope, develop the solution, launch it, and monitor the metrics. If the metrics stagnate, you will investigate and iterate.

• Direct communication with product teams. There will be no project manager as an intermediary. You will engage directly with product stakeholders, provide necessary feedback, and collaboratively decide on the priorities for the week.

• Collaborate with a team of agents. Tools like Claude (or the next iteration) will assist with code reviews, test generation, and boilerplate. You will establish guidelines, oversee the review processes, and ensure that the quality of agent-produced code in your projects exceeds the company standard.

• Ensure the production health in your domain. You will be accountable for metrics such as bug counts, incidents, test coverage, and the long-term integrity of the codebase being modified by agents. You will own these metrics, and they will be a focal point of measurement.

• Focus on speed. Lead time, throughput, and agent cycle time will be critical metrics. You will establish a personal baseline by the second week and set improvement targets within the first two months. We prioritize meaningful outcomes over merely closing tickets.

• The ability to say no. Approximately one-third of the tasks that come your way should not be executed. The appropriate response is often “let’s conduct a 2-day experiment first” or “this does not impact a key metric.” You will provide rationale for your decisions rather than relying on instinct.

• Proficiency in both English and Russian.

• Background in Product Companies: Substantial experience in product-centric organizations. You understand how to gauge the success of features and prioritize retention, conversion, and user experience.

• AI Expertise: Hands-on experience in integrating LLMs/AI tools into production applications, or a highly optimized workflow leveraging AI assistants to enhance your development efficiency.

• Focus on Metrics over Backlog: A strong history of delivering features that are aligned with improving business KPIs rather than just writing code.

• In-depth knowledge of TypeScript / JavaScript and a comprehensive understanding of Node.js.

• Commercial backend development experience with NestJS.

• Strong frontend development skills using modern frameworks (React / Next.js).

• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and a focus on query optimization.

• Experience managing MongoDB at scale (100M+ documents / 50GB+ of data).

• Knowledge of RabbitMQ.

• Comprehensive understanding of the HTTP/1.1 protocol.

• Proven experience in refactoring legacy codebases or significant architectural components.

• Solid experience with version control systems (Git).
