Senior Fullstack Developer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Lead the assigned development team technically, monitoring tasks and ensuring objective fulfillment.

• Engage in planning, prioritization, and estimation of development tasks.

• Define and validate appropriate technical solutions that meet business needs.

• Coordinate and report on development progress to project stakeholders.

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications with a focus on user experience and presentation layer.

• Ensure adherence to development best practices, quality standards, and code reviews.

• Advocate for TDD and automated testing.

• Promote the use of AI-assisted development tools and establish best practices for their use, prompting, and review of generated code.

• Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives, technological modernization, and process optimization, including generative AI in the software lifecycle.

• Participate in the design and evolution of microservices architectures.

• Assist in defining cloud solutions on AWS.

• Ensure observability, maintainability, and scalability of services.

• Engage in cloud-native projects on AWS.

• Apply principles of observability, monitoring, and traceability.

• Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, and infrastructure teams in cloud environments.

• Work with integration and communication patterns between microservices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development.

• Strong expertise in Java and object-oriented programming.

• Proficiency in Java 8 or higher, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.

• Experience with JavaScript, JSF, JSP, and React.

• Design and development of REST/SOAP APIs and Web Services.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Maven, Git, and Jenkins.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or others.

• Understanding of messaging systems and queues.

• Experience with JUnit, Liquibase, and TDD.

• Development of applications based on microservices architectures.

• Creation of REST APIs using Spring Boot.

• Knowledge of containerized application lifecycle management using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience leading or coordinating technical development teams.

• Ability to mentor junior and semi-senior profiles.

• Skill in delegating tasks and adapting support for the team.

• Capability to manage technical discrepancies and facilitate decision-making.

• Focus on collaboration, continuous learning, and quality.

• Experience in defining agentic workflows or automating development with AI is a plus.

• Knowledge of prompt engineering is valued.

• AWS or Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
