Senior Fullstack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain scalable backend services and REST APIs utilizing Python.

• Create responsive frontend applications with React and TypeScript.

• Develop application interfaces and services that identify, validate, and resolve issues within complex, data-intensive systems.

• Handle data from data lakes, ETL processes, validation logic, and model outputs at the application layer.

• Work with PostgreSQL, focusing on database migrations and performance-critical queries.

• Package and manage applications using Docker.

• Operate within existing GraphQL environments and assist with migrations to REST-based architectures when suitable.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to expedite implementation while critically assessing generated solutions for their maintainability and scalability.

• Collaborate closely with engineering stakeholders to clarify both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Effectively work within terminal-centric Mac/Linux development environments.

• Provide technical insights and challenge short-term solutions when a more scalable or maintainable approach is necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of full-stack software development experience.

• Extensive production experience with Python and frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React.

• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, relational databases, and database migrations.

• Significant experience in designing and working with REST APIs.

• Familiarity with GraphQL-based applications or APIs.

• Proven experience in building or maintaining data-heavy applications that involve large datasets or performance-sensitive application queries.

• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.

• High level of comfort with Mac/Linux environments using terminal-based workflows, Bash, and Makefiles.

• Strong fundamentals in system design and software engineering.

• Ability to articulate and defend technical opinions while maintaining a pragmatic and delivery-focused approach.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Experience with S3-backed data lakes and AWS Athena.

• Exposure to data technologies such as Trino/Presto, BigQuery, Spark SQL, or similar.

• Familiarity with DAG-based orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or AWS Step Functions.

• Experience in data engineering, including ETL pipelines, advanced SQL, data validation, or query optimization.

• Knowledge of Redis or DynamoDB.

• Familiarity with modern package management and monorepo tools like Nx, Poetry, UV, or others.

• Experience with AWS Bedrock or similar AI/LLM platforms and SDKs.

• Understanding of marketing data structures, campaign management APIs, or digital advertising metrics.
