Senior Full-stack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and develop subscription management functionalities within a comprehensive full-stack architecture.

• Create and sustain RESTful APIs utilizing Restify/Node.js for seamless platform integrations.

• Construct user-centric subscription management interfaces leveraging React/Next.js.

• Develop and manage webhook handlers for processing real-time subscription events.

• Integrate with external platforms and subscription billing services.

• Oversee user entitlements and access control across various platforms.

• Collaborate across two backend services, a front-end monorepo, and webhook handlers.

• Troubleshoot and resolve subscription and entitlement issues on platforms including Apple, Google, Roku, and others.

• Produce clean, testable code accompanied by thorough Jest unit tests.

• Partner with staff engineers on system design and architectural enhancements.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to the establishment of team best practices.

• Occasionally manage on-call responsibilities for technical support.

• Utilize Firebase Functions for event-driven background processing.

• Maintain and enhance subscription reconciliation procedures.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Software Engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js development.

• Senior-level proficiency in React.js and Next.js for front-end development.

• Experience in constructing and utilizing RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with Firebase/Firestore or similar NoSQL databases.

• Understanding of subscription management and entitlement frameworks.

• Experience with Git, contemporary development workflows, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Strong debugging capabilities and problem-solving aptitude.

• Ability to independently work on significant features while fostering team collaboration.

• Experience in writing unit tests and ensuring code quality.

• Comfortable navigating multiple codebases and environments.

• Knowledge of security best practices for managing user data.

• Preferred candidates should be based in Canada, with working hours aligned to ET or PT.
