Senior Full Stack .NET Engineer – Legacy Windows App

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of a Windows desktop application utilized by field teams for capturing and organizing digitized historical records.

• Address and rectify defects reported by users.

• Resolve failures occurring during nightly and automated builds.

• Assist with the deployment of new version releases.

• Work on both modern and legacy components of the codebase.

• Collaborate with the security team to ensure the application meets organizational security standards.

• Engage directly with the client team's engineers while working alongside the client team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with C#/.NET, including .NET 8.0, advanced C# features, and nullable reference types.

• Proficiency in WPF with XAML, data binding, styles, and custom controls.

• Knowledge of MVVM architecture, including CommunityToolkit.Mvvm.

• Experience with Entity Framework 6, focusing on database-first development, LINQ, DbContext, and migrations.

• Familiarity with SQL Server, including T-SQL, LocalDB, database design, query optimization, and performance enhancement.

• Experience with Dependency Injection using Autofac and interface-driven application design.

• Proficient in Visual Studio/MSBuild, covering project configuration, debugging, profiling, and troubleshooting builds.

• Proven track record in maintaining and modernizing legacy Windows applications.

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities, particularly in resolving user-reported issues.

• Experience in supporting builds, deployments, and version releases.

• Capability to investigate and address nightly/automated build failures.

• Must be available for full overlap during Mountain Time business hours.
